If you have a boat to sell, we have a secret: some brokerages are more successful in selling boats than others. This is not only because of great sales skills–good boat brokers listen to the customer, they know the market and they get their listings in front of the right people. They present a clean, well prepared boat to buyers who understand value.
Knowing our customers
Before we starting showing a client boats, we build a relationship with him or her. Once we have listened to our buyers sailing goals, explained boat pricing and parsed out our client’s wish list features, we can excel in turning a boat prospect into a boat buyer. This is why our listings excel.
We do a few things differently.
Virtually all brokers insist on an exclusive listing–not us! Typically, an exclusive listing means you can’t simultaneously list your boat “for sale by owner” or bring a buyer into the process without paying the broker commission. If someone we’ve never dealt with comes directly to you wanting to buy your boat, we welcome you to sell it. If you sell it you owe us nothing. After all, our mission is to get your boat sold!
Most brokers tie you into a six month contract–not us. We believe that if your broker isn’t doing a good job you should be able to fire him or her at any time. We have no time parameters on our agreement, because we are confident in our abilities to move a boat, and we have a very good track record of doing just that.
Many brokers won’t show a boat on a Sunday or evenings. We answer the phone when it rings and follow right up with a prospective buyer, even if it means an off-hours showing. Many brokers aren’t as flexible.
Our listings are clean and uncluttered. We will visit your boat and will let you know if there are issues that will get in the way of a showing. If you need help, we can assist.
Our success comes from more than two decades of experience, data-based pricing, customer education, our solid, honest reputation.
