Further Description From Owner
Meander is the perfect boat for the cruising couple. With standing headroom of 5'11"(rare in a boat this size), two comfortable settee berths, alcohol stove, pressurized water, a deep icebox, and a spacious head. We have enjoyed cruising Narragansett Bay and the coasts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts for many days at a time. The quarter berth makes a great sea berth and when not used makes the perfect place to store all gear needed for cruising.
We've had many wonderful adventures in Meander but after finding Skylark, a Cape Dory 36 two years ago, we had to come to terms with passing Meander on to another passionate Cape Dory enthusiast.

Meander's previous owners sailed her on Lake Michigan where she was well cared for stored inside during the winter months. My wife and I purchased Meander in April 2018 and found a weather window that allowed me to drive up to Michigan and finalize the purchase. In route to Florida, Meander's Triad trailer (available under separate consideration) went back to Triad for several upgrades. These upgrades improve ramp launching and retrieval for future adventures.

Once back in Florida, the retrofit began. Seacocks and thru-hulls and aging wood backing plates were removed and replaced with composite backing plates. Engine mounts were replaced with new as was the cutlass bearing, prop shaft and log. Meander's rudder also received some attention. The hull bottom paint was removed to gelcoat and a barrier coat was applied. Why stop at the hull bottom? Virtually every hull gelcoat imperfection from nick to scratch was gelcoated, polished and buffed to make her hull as pristine as her bottom.
