Description
Owner had a survey done just prior to going on the market. This survey shows a boat in remarkably good condition for a 30 year old boat with a completely sound deck, good rigging, and a solid hull/rudder. Survey also shows a newer 2004 Yanmar diesel that runs smoothly, remodeled galley, new instruments, and new frig. Everything works normally and she has newer sails. The few small survey recommendations have all been fixed. She has a fresh coat of multi-season bottom paint and new zincs. This boat is turn key and needs nothing: Just add food and go cruising. There are cheaper Cherubini Hunters out there, but this one is the best value for the money!
The Cherubini Hunter 37 built between 1979 and 1984 is an amazing vessel. This is nothing like today's Hunter sailboats as it has classic lines and is a joy to sail. Many of these have crossed the Atlantic Ocean without fanfare. Absolutely solid construction, and a comfortable interior with a separate shower stall, wrap around galley, and large quarter berth cabin aft.
Step onboard and you can feel how solid she is, and when you sail her you will be very impressed with the true cutter rig and 9 tons displacement. This is a vessel that is very comfortable when the wind gets strong!
Additional details
The interior is very traditional, spacious and has some very nice features. Top of the list is the large separate shower stall and large modern galley. The aft cabin is a very good sea cabin which modern designs lack. Main salon settee converts to a double, and there is significant storage behind settees and above as well. The galley has recently been redone with Corian counter top, microwave, under the counter frig, and new double sink.
