Description
NEW PRICE - MUST GO!
This Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 has a spacious interior with galley amidship, a large aft cabin, a very comfortable V-berth, plus two luxurious heads.
The Sun Magic 44 is built following the stringent principles which have gone to make the international reputation which Jeanneau enjoys. Her hull is built of Aramat 9035 K, the glass cloth/Kevlar composite which affords light weight and extra strength for a safety plus. She had her engine replaced in 2003 to a 56 HP Yanmar 4JH3-E (with only 350 hours).
Overall, the boat does need some work as it has been out of the water for at least 2 years and was lightly used prior to that. The deck amidships on the port and starboard sides were soft from moisture intrusion and the owner had the coring professionally removed from the top, re-cored, and then the surface was re-fiberglassed. However, midship stanchions on both sides were not re-bedded at that time and eventually will need to be done. The cockpit teak on the seats needs to be completely stripped, repaired and refinished or replaced. Main sail and dodger/bimini will need attention in the near future. As you will see in the specifications, she is short on electronics.
She had a major refit in 2003 and a number of updates in 2016.
Keep in mind the boat is priced considering these deficiencies.
