The Block Island 40
Beautiful lines, Timeless Classic Design
The Classic layout sleeps six with one stateroom forward. V-berth is owner's stateroom forward with hatch over and two opening ports for excellent light and ventilation. An ensuite door leads directly from the stateroom to the head compartment. Spacious Head Compartment has vanity S.S. sink with hot & cold pressure water and handheld shower.
The comfortable main salon includes a large U-shaped dinette to port with drop Teak dining table that forms a large double bed. The Dining table folds over to form good dining space for the entire crew. To starboard is a berth/settee and a pilot berth outboard.
This 1997 Block Island 40 has rested on the hard for a number of years, and as the photos (taken October 2023) show, has not suffered. Recently all systems have been run and tested by the professionals at Bristol Marine, Bristol, RI and are in good working order. Of course, there will be some work required to bring her to her true value. She is priced accordingly, and as you can see from the chart below, you will have plenty of room to get there:
