Accomodations

This boat has only been used 4 seasons and it looks it. Cushions are like new, woodwork is crisp, and the engine clearly has low hours. The Hunter 38 has nine opening hatches, and five opening ports. Lots of ventilation that is missing in the newer models. Large and comfortable aft stateroom with queen size berth, comfortable seating area, lots of storage, and direct access to the head from the aft cabin and the salon. Beautiful main cabin with like-new cushions. Lots of room for a good sized family to enjoy time together with a large galley for great meals.

Brokers comments

When purchased last spring, Atlantis was a bank repo, had been sitting for two years, sails and electronics missing as well as a number of smaller parts missing. Purchased by Narragansett Sailing School, they have a business model of buying distressed (newer) Hunters, completely refurbishing them going through all the systems, bringing them to like-new condition cosmetically and mechanically, and then selling them in fall. Then they repeat the process the following year saving on winter storage costs and keeping their service folks busy in the off season. The school is owned by a former Hunter dealer who knows the boats and systems inside out.

    So this is a boat with too many new bits and pieces to list, was used in the school cruising course for a season sailing out to Martha's Vineyard a number of times where all the "bugs" were worked out, and all the normal things that wear out like batteries, lines and the like have been replaced. Owner feels so strongly about the boat condition it comes with a guarantee that nothing will go wrong for the first 30 days after launch. Unheard of in the used boat market! 

  This is a like-new boat, with brand new sails, at a price that says let's get it sold.
